Each piece that leaves Jan Waterston’s studio is carefully made to order and depending on the scale of the piece has its own lead time. Please check the description of the piece you’re ordering for information on its lead time, these lead times are subject to change and will be confirmed with you once your order is placed. All prices listed or received via quotes exclude crating and delivery costs. These costs are calculated on receipt of your order and vary depending on the delivery location and level of delivery service you require. Many hundreds of hours of careful work go into the making of a Jan Waterston piece, for this reason it’s vital that the correct delivery and access information is shared so that your piece can be delivered safely and in good time. There are two levels of delivery service offered:

WHITE GLOVE

Specialist Art handlers will collect and wrap your piece, then a specialist courier will deliver and install the piece into the desired room removing any packaging materials

KERBSIDE DELIVERY

A courier makes a Kerbside delivery to your address. It is the customers responsibility to supply and pay for the manual labour and equipment needed to offload and move the commission, remove and dispose of packaging and install the commission into your desired location.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

All works are available to ship internationally. When placing your order the level of delivery service you require, address and access information must be detailed so that the correct costings can be added to any quotations and invoices. All international orders are not duty paid and may incur additional charges once the parcel reaches its destination country. The recipient of the delivery must pay these charges.

Customs policies and import duties vary widely from country to country, Jan Waterston has no control over the charges. So that you are fully informed, the suggestion is that you contact your local customs office to gain up to date charges details before you place an order. Any parcels returned to Jan Waterston due to customs charges being higher than expected, Jan Waterston reserves the right to refund the transaction minus all costs incurred.

COLLECTION

You are welcome to collect your commision from the Birmingham (UK) based studio. Please detail at the point of order you’d like to make a collection and Jan Waterston will be in touch to arrange a delivery slot. Jan Waterston can accept no responsibility for the items once collected and no longer in his care

CRATING AND PACKAGING

Correct packaging and crating is incredibly important and Jan Waterston takes a great deal of care to ensure that your works are packaged correctly for a safe delivery. On receiving your delivery it is your responsibility to thoroughly inspect the condition of each piece received, damaged works should not be signed for. If you don’t receive your products in perfect condition you must contact Jan Waterston at info@janwaterston.co.uk with pictures of any damaged packaging and damaged areas of the piece within 48 hours of receipt. Jan Waterston will be in touch to organise return or repair of the piece. After this 48 hour window Jan Waterston is not responsible for works not in his care.

FURTHER INFORMATION

The client is liable to pay any return and redelivery costs if the package is undeliverable. Ownership of the products remains with Jan Waterston until delivery has taken place provided Jan Waterston has received payment of all sums due in respect to the products including delivery charges and shipping taxes. A storage fee of up to but not exceeding £500 per week will be payable to Jan Waterston if delivery cannot be agreed within 14 days of your orders completion. This fee will be invoiced weekly and will be charged until your delivery has been agreed, arranged and payment for said delivery has been received by Jan Waterston.

Jan Waterston is unable to accept any liability for delays in delivery and works delivered outside of any estimated shipping times.Delivery will be organised once the full invoice balance has been received by Jan Waterston. Jan Waterston accepts no responsibility for incorrect delivery and access information shared with him.
